As our Chief Financial Officer, you will oversee all financial operations, drive strategic financial planning, and ensure the fiscal health of the organization. You will partner closely with our executive team to shape the future direction of Summr. This role requires deep expertise in financial services regulations, capital markets, and investment management compliance.

Responsibilities

Lead all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes
Oversee accounting, treasury, tax, and investor relations functions
Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company growth objectives
Manage relationships with investors, auditors, and financial institutions
Ensure regulatory compliance across all financial operations, including SEC and FINRA requirements
Present financial performance and strategy to the board of directors
Build and mentor a high-performing finance team
Oversee fund administration, NAV calculations, and investor reporting
Maintain compliance with investment adviser regulations and fiduciary standards

Qualifications

15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience
MBA or CPA required; both preferred
Prior CFO or VP of Finance experience at a growth-stage company or investment firm
Deep understanding of capital markets, M&A, and fundraising
Strong leadership and communication skills
Experience in financial services, asset management, or fintech industry required

License Requirements

Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Examination required
FINRA Series 7 (General Securities Representative) required
FINRA Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Law Examination) required, OR Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law) AND Series 65 (Uniform Investment Adviser Law) combination
Additional state registrations may be required based on business activities
